Legendary Singer/ Songwriter Leona Williams has made her mark on Country Music and her footprints will never fade.

From singing backup in Loretta Lynn's band to singing duets with Merle Haggard and George Jones to writing hit songs like "Dallas" for Connie Smith, and  "Someday When Things Are Good" for Merle Haggard to singing hits songs like "The Bull and The Beaver" and "Yes Ma'am, He Found Me In A Honky Tonk", Leona has forever earned a spot in country music history!

Born in Vienna, Missouri, at age 15 Leona had her own radio show on KWOS and later played bass guitar while singing backup for Loretta Lynn.  Her album "San Quentin's First Lady" was the first country album recorded by a female artist in a prison.  

Leona is a member of the CMA of Texas Hall of Fame and the Missouri Country Music Hall of Fame.  She won the George D Hay Award in 2002 and was the R.O.P.E. Entertainer of The Year in 2011.  She continues to tour regularly including annual tours to Europe which have included appearances with Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell while in Ireland.

She has collaborated on albums and duets with many, many Country Music artists including Vince Gill, and George Jones and the following artists have recorded songs Leona has written: George Jones, Moe Bandy, Gene Watson, Randy Travis, Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Willie Nelson, Connie Smith, Loretta Lynn, Hank Thompson, Tammy Wynette, The Forrester Sisters plus many more.
